Ann Talman is an actor, singer, storyteller, award winning documentary filmmaker, and four-time Broadway veteran. She joined Actors’ Equity with co-star Elizabeth Taylor in 1981 when she landed the plum role in The Little Foxes playing Taylor’s daughter on Broadway. The show traveled the world for eighteen months and their loving friendship lasted for the rest of Miss Taylor’s life. Ann’s new cabaret show, Elizabeth Taylor and The Shadow of Her Smile, is an evening of story and song about Ann and Elizabeth’s amazing bond. It is filled with hilarious and touching stories that only Ann can tell, woven with Broadway and Great American Songbook gems. Ann’s imitation of Elizabeth is so spot on, if you close your eyes, you’ll swear they’re together again! “Elizabeth loved cabaret,” says Ms. Talman. “If she were alive, she'd be here right now holding court!"

Cabaret artist Sarah Boone brings Mom Before Dad: A Young Woman of the Greatest
Generation
back to Theatre Jacksonville following celebrated performances in New York City,
Los Angeles and Colorado. Sarah will share the stage with Musical Director Michael Cuschieri, barbershop quartet On Point, and the Mom Before Dad Band.
"As rhythms of Big Bands swelled, and tears from World War II fell, there lived a young woman, unlike any other, as I unlocked her diary and discovered my mother." Between the pages of a faded handwritten journal, Sarah learned of the joys, heartbreaks, passions and the everyday perseverance of someone she knew...but long before she knew her. Her Mom!
Now travel back with Sarah in a memory-filled musical show that hails and regales the greatest generation...as told through the diary entries, letters and moments of Sarah's favorite greatest-generation heroine. In this touching program of song and inspiring word, this daughter's love letter to her remarkable mother captures the era when ordinary people achieved the extraordinary...believed in the right thing to do...and exchanged "goodbyes" with "We'll Meet Again"...
The show is directed by Jean Tait, with orchestrations by Eugene Gwozdz, script and
multimedia concept by Sarah Boone, multimedia design by Rich Conner.

SHOWTIMES: Friday, February 7th at 7:30pm & Saturday, February 8th at 2pm. This show is included in our All Access Membership, book your seats today!
